Daniel John Aivazian, 39, of Oklahoma passed away on Thursday March 6th, 2025. He was born in Tulsa, OK on September 18th, 1985. Daniel is survived by his parents David John Aivazian and Beverly Ann (Fox) Aivazian; his sister Patricia Graham and her husband Todd Graham; his nephews Wesley, William, and Haston Graham; and his grandmother Joyce Fox. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Buck Fox; and grandparents Sue and Harry Aivazian.
Daniel (or as his closest friends knew him, "Fuzzy") grew up in
Edmond, Oklahoma with his parents and sister. He excelled in school from an early age and was quickly put into advanced classes. In his youth he had many hobbies including collecting cards, learning to play baseball with his dad, playing video games, and hanging out with his neighborhood friends. Building long-lasting friendships was important to Daniel. Many of the friends he made in the neighborhood and in high school remained his closest. He graduated from Edmond Santa Fe High School in 2004.
After graduating high school, Daniel attended Oklahoma State University where he studied business and majored in finance. When he wasn't in class, you could find him with his friends playing frisbee golf, watching a movie, or attending a concert. During college, Daniel found love with Kristen Burton. They would go on to spend many happy years together and remain friends for life. He graduated from Oklahoma State in 2009 with a bachelor's degree.
Daniel quickly put his degree to use and began his professional career with Hilton Hotels. His keen sense for numbers and work ethic allowed him to relocate to Dallas/ Fort Worth area as an Account Representative. After 2 years of dedication and success in his role, he was promoted multiple times. Several years later, an opportunity to move and pursue further advancement in his career led him to an Accounting Manager position in New Orleans. In 2022, he transferred to Tulsa in a similar role to be closer to friends and family.
In his free time, Daniel found enjoyment in many different things. He had a group of friends who never missed a weekly trivia night. Their team went on to compete in a state competition. While living in New Orleans, Daniel would often ride his bike to and from work and to social events. He hosted several of his friends over the years while living in New Orleans. All of them would agree that when you visited Daniel you were able to experience some of the best live music, food, and restaurants. He always knew the local spots. Daniel was an avid video game player. It was one way he stayed connected with old friends but also made new ones.
Daniel absolutely loved his family. Although he lived away for many years, coming home for the holidays was important to him. He respected his parents and was grateful for the life they provided. He always looked up to his sister and was proud of the family she created. He especially loved his nephews. They would play board games, race toy cars, and have nerf gun wars.
Daniel will always be remembered for his integrity, sense of humor (and the laugh that came with it), his kind heart, calming presence, and his willingness to do anything for those closest to him. He taught everyone around him what it meant to be a friend. Daniel wouldn't want his loved ones to be sad but rather to cherish the memories.
