Daniel S. Ankeney, 78, De Pere, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024.
Dan was born on February 8, 1946, in Chicago, IL, to the late Harry and Polly (Orcutt) Ankeney. He was a graduate of Goodrich High School in 1963 and from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, after serving in the US Navy on the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War.
Dan served as Treasurer of Menasha Corporation until his retirement in 2001.
Dan and his wife Pat, married on August 31, 1970, and settled in Green Bay where they remained. He loved vintage cars, golfing and traveling.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Alan Blau; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eugene Matheys and Joan Quinn; and many nieces and nephews. Also his best friends and car afficionados, Jim and Cathy Moldaschel. Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Matheys Ankeney; his parents; his brother, John and sister-in-law, Char; and his sister, Marilyn Ankeney Parker.
Malcore Funeral Home is assisting the family. A memorial will be held at a later date.
