Daniel J. Argay

Daniel J. Argay, 50, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was born in Patchogue, NY on March 31, 1972, to George and Liza Argay. He grew up in Ballston Spa and was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School. Dan lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for several years and then moved back home to Ballston Spa.

Dan worked as a stager for Curtis Lumber Co. He was a member of VFW Post 358 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 234 in Ballston Spa, serving on the American Legion Honor Guard. Dan enjoyed hanging out with his friends, listening to heavy metal music, reading, and rooting for his favorite team the Carolina Panthers.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Mary and William Ward, III and Mary and Louis Argay. Dan is survived by his parents George and Liza Argay, sister Ellen Armer (Jason), nephew Sam Armer, niece Paige Armer, aunt Mary Ellen Russo, and several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, February 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A graveside service will be held at Powell Wiswall Cemetery, Ballston Spa, in the Spring. Memorial contributions in memory of Dan may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The family would like to thank Dan's friends Karen Ostrander, Chris Collins, John Smith, Kevin Williams, and John Thompson, and the doctors, nurses, and staff on D3 North at Albany Medical Center for their care and compassion.
