Daniel Artis Obituary
Daniel Scott Artis, 52, of Springfield, passed away Sunday night, August 18, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
Dan was born in Bellefontaine on May 3, 1972, to Cynthia Artis and the late James “Petey” Brown. He was also preceded in death by daughter Johnae Jones.
Dan is survived by his mother Cynthia (James) Johnson of Bellefontaine; 7 children: Antonia Adams of Columbus and her 5 boys, Danisha Artis of Bellefontaine, Cinnamon Artis of Tampa, Florida, Daniel Artis II of Nolensville, Tennessee, Xavier Nemec of Springfield, Xadrien Nemec of Springfield, and Xio’mera Nemec of Springfield; 4 grandchildren: Aalana Tate, Nyjiah Carr, Zaire Carr, and Daniel Artis III; 2 sisters: Dawn Wallace of Springfield, and Jaymi Brown of Marysville; a brother Nicholas Brown of Bellefontaine; and several nieces and nephews.
Dan graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1990 and was a truck driver for many years. He was an avid fisherman, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation for Dan will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 10am – 12 noon at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine.
