Daniel Phillip Augenstein, age 66, passed away September 4, 2024, at Marion General Hospital. Daniel was born
June 9, 1958, to Martin and Judy (Silvers) Augenstein in Marion, Ohio.
He enjoyed the great outdoors, was a boy scout, and fished whenever he got the chance. He had a
love for animals that was hard to match, especially for German Shepards, and took the time to nurse many rescue
animals back to health. He was an avid sports fan, following the Browns, Cavaliers, and OSU Football closely
throughout their seasons. Daniel had an interest in vehicles, especially cars and motorcycles. His interest led
him to have a job as a forklift operator for 14 years.
Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Martin Augenstein, his son, David Augenstein, his aunt, Nancy
Augenstein, his uncles, Bernie Augenstein and Gary Silvers, and his sister, Laurie Arnold.
He leaves behind to remember him, his mother, Judy (Silvers) Augenstein, his uncles, Dave (Phyllis), Bob
(Elaine), and Lynn (Ruthie) Augenstein, his aunts, Ruth Silvers and Linda Augenstein, his ex-wife and close friend,
Kae, his brothers, Steven (Amy) and Michael Augenstein, and nephews, Adam and Evan Augenstein.
