Outgoing, fun-loving, and full of life are just a few words that I would use to describe Dan. There was always such an undeniable presence about him whenever he was near. This wasn´t just due to his obvious physical stature, it was his larger than life personality that really made him stand out. Dan could easily turn life´s dullest moments into something both memorable and fun for everyone around him.
Though it´s been quite some time since I last saw him, Dan was a very close friend for many years and I am so deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I guess I took for granted that he would always be around and mistakenly assumed we would eventually cross paths again, picking up from where we last left off, like we had done so many times before. I am still somewhat in disbelief that he is really gone, and saying goodbye makes it all too final.
So instead of goodbye, I will simply say thank you. Thank you Dan, for all of the memories. I feel so very fortunate to have known you and you will always hold a very special place in my heart.
Until we meet again, my friend...

In the grand theater of life, where each day unfolds like a new act, there exists a comedic genius who never fails to steal the show. My friend Big Dan, with his knack for turning the mundane into uproarious moments, is the very embodiment of laughter.
So here's to my dear Big Buddy Dan, the master and the architect of amusement and entertainment. Thank you for filling my life with laughter and for being the comedic genius who never fails to bring a smile to my face.
Take Care Buddy you will be missed.
