Daniel Camese, Jr., age 87, was called home to glory on Sunday, December 14, 2025.He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. “Junior”, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System. He was employed for many years as a cement Finisher with Barriers Construction. He was formerly employed with Todd Shipyard and as a roofer with Gilbert Roofing Company. His strong work ethic, humility, and willingness to help others were evident in every task he undertook. His life was a quiet testimony of faith, strength, and love. Beloved husband of the late Verna Mae Camese. Son of the late Daniel, Sr. and Mabel Camese. Loving brother of Brenda Camese, Donna (the late Oscar, Sr.) Jones, Clara (late Alfred, Jr.) Hatcher, Sharon Johnson, Eugene Camese, Sr., Arthur Camese, Sr., Roy Camese, Sr., and the late Elgin Camese, Leroy Ronald Camese, Edward and Kenneth Refuge, Gail Williams, and Carolyn Camese. Daniel is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Will be Private.
