Daniel Christopher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services on Jan. 7, 2026.
Daniel "Dan" Lee Christopher, 57, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on January 4, 2026. He was born in Lafayette on October 11, 1968, to the late Lois Elaine and Herb Lee Christopher.

Dan was a 1986 graduate of Harrison High School. On November 18, 1990, he married the love of his life, Crystal Christopher, and together they built a life rooted in love, family, and simple joys. Dan was especially fond of his wife's cooking-her stuffed green peppers, meatloaf, and spaghetti were his most requested and favorite meals.

He had a deep appreciation for country music, long rides on his Harley, camping trips to Brown County, and he was an avid gun collector. Growing up around horses, Dan developed a lifelong love for them, a passion that never faded and remained close to his heart.

Dan is survived by his devoted wife, Crystal Christopher; his daughters, Catelynn Christopher of Lafayette, Christin Christopher of Lafayette, and Carlie Christopher of Bringhurst; and his cherished grandchildren, Cage Christopher, Cadence McCoy, and RJ McCoy. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale (Kathy) Christopher of Michigan, Jeff Christopher of Arizona, and Mark (Nadia) Christopher of New Mexico, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially by his adoring wife, whose heart was forever intertwined with his.

Dan and I solved a lot of the world´s problems during our conversations in the T7 locker room - he´d be coming to work as I was changing to head home. He was a great guy.

The Myer and Hoffine family spent horse camping days with the Christopher family down in Brown County. Dan and Mike played cards a lot and Shelli and JuAnn were usually hanging around to get in on the fun. Everyone liked Dan. He has left us at a too young of an age. Dan was a great kid.
