Daniel Corbett Obituary
Dan lived a full and spirited life that took him from Pittsburgh to Rochester, Arlington, Miami, Patterson, and finally to Charlotte, North Carolina. A proud graduate of the "School of Hard Knocks," he built a life defined by perseverance, humor, and love.
He was married to the love of his life, Sharon Corbett, for 21 wonderful years, celebrating their marriage on August 17, 2004. Together they shared countless adventures and a deep bond built on laughter and mutual devotion.
Throughout his life, Dan was a golden glove and professional boxer, decorative painter, real estate "mogul" and made a lasting impact as a USA Boxing Coach. His passion for coaching and mentoring others-especially in boxing-was one of his greatest joys. He inspired those around him with his encouragement, dedication, and trademark sense of humor.
Outside of work, Dan found happiness in family gatherings, motorcycles, and his simple love for bacon. He was always the first to offer a helping hand, a hearty laugh, or a kind word. He will be remembered as the best dad, someone who was always there for his family, good-natured and kind, and determined to accomplish everything he set his mind to.
He was of Catholic faith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; children, Ciara Salcedo, Steven McNabb; grandchildren, Keanu, Kairo, Aleena, Liana, Savannah; siblings, Fred (Derf), Gregory, Susan, Timothy, William, Thomas; and his faithful mastiff, Baloo, who was always by his side.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fight for Your Future.
A visitation will be held on November 14, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home - Indian Trail Chapel (4431 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079) and those attending are encouraged to dress informally.
