Daniel "Dan" Joseph Cunningham, 78, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend to all, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia, PA., to late Walter and Mary Cunningham on September 28, 1946. His dedication to family, work-ethic, humor, and ability to be the life of the party will be celebrated for generations to come.

Dan started his journey in life in northeast Philadelphia where he grew a passion for cars, our beloved Eagles and all things friends and family. He graduated from Cardinal Dougherty high school in 1964 where he was then drafted into the Navy and was deployed during the Vietnam War. During his deployment, he was stationed in the Mediterranean as a helicopter mechanic aboard the USS Springfield. Upon returning home, he courted his beautiful wife, Alice, and started his career as a "Tastykake man." Dan and Alice married in 1973 where they welcomed the two most amazing children ever, Dan and Dave. Our family moved to Willow Grove in 1980 where he cultivated many amazing and cherished friendships who are second families to us all to this day. After selling his Tastykake route in early 2000's, he worked at Home Depot offering his handyman skills to the world at large. In his later years, he was cared for by many amazing Nurses and Doctors at the Delaware Valley Veteran's Home in Philadelphia, PA who we are eternally grateful for and appreciate immensely.

Dan is survived by his two loving sons and their spouses, Daniel "Dan" Cunningham Jr. and Melissa "Missy" Cunningham of Phoenixville, PA, David "Dave" Cunningham and Kimberly "Kim" Cunningham of Doylestown, PA; siblings, William "Bill" Cunningham of Philadelphia, PA, Patricia "Pat" Cunningham of Philadelphia, PA, Joseph "Joe" Cunningham of Boca Raton, FL; several grandkids, Alyssa Cunningham, Brenden Cunningham, David Cunningham, Nicholas Cunningham, Andrew Cunningham and Millie Cunningham; he is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who shared in his joyful spirit. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Alice Cunningham, and his dear brother Walter "Bud" Cunningham.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday September 11, 2025, from 9:30am to 10:15am at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090.
