Daniel J. Tomashek (Grandpa Dan)
On Tuesday, July 23rd, Dan Tomashek, loving dad, grandpa and great grandpa passed away peacefully. Dan was born September 28, 1942 in Shawano, WI, the son of Ernie and Marcella Tomashek. On July 27, 1963 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Peg Tomashek. They had three children Tom, Tim and Tracy.
Dan enjoyed spending time with his family. Dan spent many hours in the gym, from playing basketball at Shawano high school to coaching his kids, grandkids and influencing many other young athletes to love the game of basketball like he did. With six grandchildren Dan never missed a sporting event. He was known for his kind, gentle manner and will be missed by all.
Dan will be sadly missed by his children: Tom (Patti) Tomashek, Tim Tomashek and Tracy (Frank) Guarascio.; grandchildren: Clayton Tomashek (Tera Schroeder), Lana (Andy) Fox, Alicia, Anthony, Gianna and Angelina Guarascio; great grandchildren: Camden, Thea and Nora Tomashek, Tatum Fox.
Per Dan’s wishes there will be a private family service held.
The Family extends their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion they gave to Dan.
