Daniel Darkis Obituary

born on August 29, 1949, in West Terre Haute Indiana and was the son of Clyde and
Beulah (Krise) Darkis. Dan married the love of his life Renee (McCammon) Darkis
March 30,1968. Dan loved his family and enjoyed every minute of being a father and
Papaw. He loved to fish and spend time with family and friends and his dog Joe. Dan is
survived by his beloved wife Renee, his daughter Margie Phegley, grandchildren,
Charlie (Andrew) Gluck, Andrea (Matt) Perry, Magan Darkis, great grandchildren, David
Tislow, Elizabeth, Joseph, and James Gluck. He was preceded in death by his parents,
2 brothers, 2 sisters and his son Ross Darkis. He worked as a maintenance supervisor
for Eastgate Nursing Home in Washington Indiana before retirement. After retirement he
enjoyed traveling the Country settling in Mission Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may
be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children. Services for Dan are under the direction
