When he returned from duty, he was employed as a DJ most of his career. His last job was a caregiver, to his mother, until her death in October of 2021.
Last July Dan was able to take a trip out west to attend the wedding of his cousin. While there, he connected with many family members and enjoyed it very much.
At the time of his death Dan was living in the Trenton Towers, in Trenton Michigan, where he enjoyed meeting new people and loved playing Wii bowling. Dan passed on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 of natural causes. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Joyce Derian. He is survived by his siblings, Jackie and Bob Schaffer, Paul and Mattie Derian, Mary Sautter and Beatrice Liburdi.
