Daniel "Doc" Doherty

Daniel "Doc" Doherty passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on February 6, 2021. Born on August 26, 1953 in Norristown, Daniel was the beloved son to the late Thomas and Rita Doherty (nee Lapenta). After graduating from Bishop Kenrick High School, Dan went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Upon his Honorable Discharge he then went on to serve as a police officer for Conrail for several years. In his free time Dan enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren. His greatest joy in life was his family. Dan was the cherished companion to Sandra Bucci for 30 years, devoted father to Shaun Doherty and Candice Doherty, dear grandfather to Bryce and Annalise, step father to the late Lisa Torres and step grandfather to Jorge and Kiersten, and brother to the late Thomas Doherty. He will be missed by all who loved him. Due to current health concerns, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
