Daniel T. Gray III, 82, died on Monday, June 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel T. Gray, Jr and Jane R. Gray. He was the proprietor of Haller's Pet Shop in St. Matthews for over 40 years.
He graduated from Waggener High School in 1961 and Georgetown College in 1965. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Greive Gray; his daughter,Tiffany Gray; and his son, Dale Gray (Marcia); and their children, Davis Gray, Caroline Gray and Jackson Gray. He is survived by his brother-in-law, John Greive (Stacy); and sister-in-law, Nancy Pittman, and their children. He is also survived by his brother, James H. Gray and his family.
His visitation will be at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., and his services will be at 11:00 a.m. at Highlands Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Burial is at Cave Hill Cemetery.
He volunteered at the Falls of the Ohio for many years. Any contribution can be made to them in his memory. He also had a deep love of animals and contributions could be sent to Adopt Me Bluegrass Pet Rescue.
