Daniel Wesley Hainline was born in Nashville, TN on April 18, 1991. He passed away on February 10, 2025. He was 33 years old. The Celebration of Life is 2 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service at 2 p.m.
Daniel is survived by his parents, David and Denise Hainline; older brother, Dave Hainline; grandmother, Nancy Hainline as well as Joel and Penny Boston (uncle and aunt); Janet McWhirter (aunt); cousins: Zach McWhirter and wife, Carly; Josh McWhirter; Becca Shoffeitt and husband, Sam; B.J. Boston and wife, Lauren. He is also survived by his 8 second cousins who he loved dearly: Liam, Owen, Jameson, Rowan, Carson, Elias, Adi and Finn. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of life-long friends.
Despite his medical challenges, Daniel enjoyed life and had many interests. Daniel loved the WWE. He got a lot of joy out of watching older matches with characters like Hulk Hogan. He also loved the Marvel Universe and everything Star Wars. His favorite Marvel character was Spiderman, and his favorite Star Wars movie was "Return of the Jedi." He had a large and impressive collection of Marvel and Star Wars memorabilia decorating his room.
Daniel enjoyed sports. He remembered statistics and players and all kinds of sports history. His favorite teams were the Tennessee Vols, Indianapolis Colts, Nashville Predators and the Atlanta Braves. He saw the Vols, the Preds and the Braves in person and even met a few players along the way.
However, the thing Daniel loved the most was dogs. He loved his dog, Irwin, but his love extended to all dogs. Daniel said if he ever won the lottery, he would like to have a farm where he could have as many dogs as possible.
Daniel's family would like to say a special thank you to the medical staff at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital who took wonderful care of him during his most recent illness and passing. The kindness and compassion from every doctor, nurse, respiratory therapist and technician was amazing. They would also like to thank the team of doctors who have cared for Daniel over the years. He thrived thanks to their care. Finally, a special thanks to Shannon and Elsie, his private duty nurses and Beverly, his home health nurse who cared for him like family.
