Daniel Edgar Hale, 42, a resident of the Marbridge Ranch in Manchaca, Texas,
passed away on Sunday, April 13, surrounded by family at his parents' home. He is
survived by his loving parents, Liz and Steve Hale of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; siblings
Travis Hale of Chicago, Illinois and Cassie Hale of League City, Texas; grandmother
Bette Hale of Kingwood, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, caretakers, and
friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents Donald Hale, Anna and Roy
Ramke, Sr., and Ed Ogden.
Born on June 24, 1982, in Beaumont, Texas, Daniel spent his early life there and
graduated from Ozen High School. He was an active member of St. Jude's Catholic
Church and the Spindletop Center community. Daniel encountered numerous
challenges throughout his life and met each one with courage and grace.
For twenty years, Daniel called Marbridge Ranch home, where he not only thrived
but also brought joy to everyone he met. He was a proud competitor in Special
Olympics equestrian and bocce events and regularly attended Mass at St. Paul
Catholic Church in Austin. He loved movies and TV shows from the early 1990s,
listening to music from the 1950s and 1960s, dogs, the many collections he had,
and affectionately giving nicknames to the many people he encountered.
Daniel truly never met a stranger, and he brought joy to countless peoples' lives.
He was so much more than his challenges, and his ability to connect with others
and bring happiness into their lives will be remembered by all who knew him.
Daniel's life was a blessing, and the world is a little less bright without his unique
shine.
His family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held at The Marbridge Chapel on
Friday, May 16th at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any gifts be
directed to the Marbridge Foundation (https://www.marbridge.org/get-
involved/secure-online-giving/).
