Daniel Harton Obituary

Dan was a retired United States Air Force veteran. He had a distinguished career spanning from 1966 to 1988 as an Air Traffic Controller, with many duty stations both overseas and stateside. One of his early duty stations was Tinker AFB, where he met his future wife Gwendolyn (Mitchell) Harton. Dan and Gwen were married 3 February, 1968. They moved to Choctaw in 1986.
Dan is preceded in his new journey by his wife Gwen of the home, and his parents, William and Helen Harton of Henrico, VA.
Dan will be waiting in Heaven for his daughters Paige Harton Bearden and Megan Harton.
He also has a head start on his Son in Law, CDR USPHS (Ret.) John Bearden and his grandchildren, Lindsey Renee (Bearden) Chism, Jonas Matthew Bearden, and Eli Robert Bearden. He has one great granddaughter Ellie Jaye Chism.
He will also be waiting for his sister Janet Waterman, and brothers Tom and Stuart Harton.
A graveside service will be observed at 10:00 am, on Thursday, 24 July
at Elmwood Cemetery, 1760 North Choctaw
