Gary R. Christian

Gary R. Christian, 76, of Midwest City, OK, passed away on September 26, 2025. He was born December 6, 1948 in Anadarko, OK to Vernon Christian and Pauline (Christian) Moore. Gary attended Anadarko High School and graduated in 1967.

Gary served in the United States Marine Corp from January 20, 1969 to January 19, 1973. He was stationed at El Toro California.

Gary and Irene Telowicz were married in St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Harrah OK on June 18, 1982. They were married for 43 years.

Gary is part owner of Calvin Taff Electronics at Wiley Post Airport in Bethany OK. He worked as an Electronics Technician and enjoyed flying small aircraft.

Gary loved spending time at the farm in Harrah on the weekends. He enjoyed working with his tractors, working on the farmhouse, taking care of the donkeys and spending time with his friends. Gary enjoyed going water skiing at Ft Cobb Lake and at Draper Lake.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Christian and Pauline (Christian) and Jim Moore.

Gary is survived by his wife, Irene of Midwest City; son, Scott Christian and his wife Lauryn of Midwest City; brother, Garth Christian and his wife Patty of Cartwright, OK; sister, Gay Ridenour and husband Tom of Duncanville, TX; nephew, Barry Christian of Sayre OK; nieces Brenda Clarida and her husband David of West Lake TX; and Mary Ridenour of Duncanville, TX.

The family would like to thank the doctors at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital OKC, the nursing staff at Sienna Extended Care and Rehab and SSM Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Barnes-Friederich and Pope Funeral Home in Midwest City, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Barnes-Friederich and Pope Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery in Harrah, OK
