Daniel F. Jansen of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, at the age of 75. He was the beloved son of the late James J. and Agnes Jansen and was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Trisha Jansen (Kris) Verdin.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Jo Monahan Jansen; his sisters, Agnes Hemmer and Margie Woltenberg; his brother, Jim Jansen; and his children, Meg (Tim) McClinton, Jill (Matt) Jansen, and Josh (Lauren) Jansen. He also leaves behind beloved grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
Born and raised on the west side of Cincinnati, Dan attended Saint Dominic Grade School and Elder High School, where he formed lasting friendships. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Thomas More College and went on to work as a pipe fitter. Dan had a passion for hosting gatherings, often delighting friends and family with his exceptional cooking and carefully curated music selections. His family, especially his children and grandchildren, were the sources of his greatest happiness.
In accordance with his wishes, Dan donated his body to the University of Cincinnati Medical School, following the example set by his daughter.
A visitation will be held at St. Susanna Church in Mason, Ohio, at 10:00 AM on January 3, 2024, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested for Hospice of Cincinnati or a charity of your choice.
Daniel F. Jansen will be remembered for his kindness, love of family, and the joyful memories he created with those dear to him.
