To the Johnson Family my Sympathies to all of you from myself. I spent a lot of time around your Husband, Dad, Brother, and Grandpa while he worked at Byron Station. He was The Boss of us who worked for him and he set high standards for us, which in hindsight set my career on the right path. Dan shared stories about his kids figure skating, CWS trips where he would always comeback sunburned, and the Canadian fishing trips. The biggest lesson Dan taught me as a 22 year old kid was was not to judge somebody by just their work persona. I filled in once playing softball for his team with his Brothers and friends(Dago) was one I remember. To be able to see the side of my boss outside the work environment was eye opening. I got to see the real Husband, Dad, and Brother just not my Boss. To hear that he was a Beloved Grandpa makes perfect sense for the Dan I remember. Thanks for sharing Dan with us all those long hours at Byron.

Dan was a good guy and he always treated me well as a direct report to him. He helped me with my career path.
He and his wife threw some great pool parties.
So sorry for your loss Sally and the rest of the family.
