I have memories of Dan before he was in public service. He was our landlord in Old Louisville in the '80s, and became a good friend. He was a kind, caring goofball who my late husband and I greatly enjoyed being around. One of my husband's fondest memories was when Dan invited him to see Lynyrd Skynyrd at Freedom Hall. I'm sad to learn of Dan's passing, especially due to this horrible disease that nobody deserves to have. My condolences to his family and friends.

I've known Dan for many...many...years. Dan really cared about and took an interest in the people he represented. Dan liked to buy, trade, and sell knives. I think it was mostly for the interaction with all the various people more than anything. I hope he finds the peace he so richly deserves. My deepest condolences to his family.

It was my privilege to know Dan not only through a work situation but having him as our Councilman.
I observed that he was always polite and friendly in his encounters with people and experienced his concern for our neighborhood's / city's well being first hand. He wanted to help everyone.
I am saddened to learn that he suffered from ALS and pray that he is now at peace. My sincere prayers for comfort for his family.
