Daniel "Dan" Jones, age 70 of Minneapolis, MN passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2025.
Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Kok Funeral Home- 1201 Portland Avenue; St. Paul Park, MN with a visitation from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Interment will take place at Newport Cemetery in Newport, MN.
Dan was born on February 2, 1955 to Robert and Betty Jones in Minneapolis, MN and grew up in Cottage Grove. The majority of Dan's career was truck driving for several different companies, retiring in 2013. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed being in the outdoors fishing and hunting. His home away from home was at the cabin in Willow River. He loved spending time there with family and even often picking wild blueberries. He and Sharon traveled to many places but Dan especially enjoyed visiting Alaska. He will be missed by his family, friends and beloved dogs Stella and Scarlet.
Dan is survived by his wife Sharon; sons Chad and Shaun (Sarah); grandson Mason; siblings Tim, Deb Allram and Tom; as well as many nieces and nephews. Dan is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Betty Jones and brothers Rick and Jim.
