It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Edward Kuehn Jr. Danny (56)
was born May 9, 1968, in Lawrenceburg, TN to Daniel Sr and Mary Kuehn. He was the older
brother of Jeff and Steve, whom he loved to torment as they grew up. He played baseball and
basketball and developed a love of hunting from a young age. He always had a knack for taking
things apart and putting them back together, which would serve him greatly in his adult years.
He was a 1986 graduate of Wayne County High School and attended trade school in
Hohenwald, TN.
While working at E.W. James, he spent a lot of his time pestering Lynn Littrell. This eventually
led to their "first date," which was watching a movie at Lynn's parents' house with her entire
family. Later on, her family decided to go on a vacation to Florida, and her father asked Danny
to watch the family laundromat. While she was gone, he was struck by lightning, and he decided
to use the money her father paid him to buy her a ring. He proposed in the mall parking lot when
she returned, and they were married April 8, 1988. Danny and Lynn were blessed with two baby
girls–Chloe' Faith in 1992 and LuCinda Hope in 1994.
In 1996, they took a leap of faith and moved their family to Wernersville, PA, where Danny
would spend the remainder of his life. They built a beautiful life together there. They found
friends who became family and a community that surrounded them with love and support.
Danny enjoyed going to the gym and being active. He and Lynn would often attend concerts
and shows. He loved to return to Tennessee to hunt and fish, stay in a cabin in the mountains,
and cheer on the Tennessee Volunteers with family.
Danny was the rock of his family. He loved his girls with all of his heart, and it was present and
evident in his every word and action. If a set needed building, he built it. If an instrument needed
to be carried, he carried it. He took great pride in teaching his girls to be strong, independent
young women but would be there in the blink of an eye to help them. Rock climbing, shooting at
the range, crafting at Home Depot, fixing the Jeeps, dancing at their receptions–it didn't matter
where they were; being with them was his greatest joy. He was so proud of the men they chose
to share their lives with and knew these men would care for his girls when he was called home.
Danny was a hard worker and incredibly intelligent. He started his career working for Frito Lay,
where he earned the nickname "Shadow." When they moved to Pennsylvania, he worked for
Reading Bakery Systems, which allowed him to travel the world. He then worked at Universal
Engineering, where he met his best friend, and finally, he worked for East Penn Manufacturing,
where he taught people that because he could make a pretzel, he could make a battery.
Whether you called him Dan, Danny, Dog, or Big Guy, you knew you were blessed to call him a
friend. He was a kind and gentle soul–uplifting of others and the ultimate encourager. He
impacted each person he met, and he will be missed deeply by his family, friends, and
community.
He is survived by his wife Lynn Littrell Kuehn, daughter Chloe' Faith and her husband Marvin
Lopez Cruz, and daughter LuCinda Hope and her husband Eric Scherer. He is also survived by
his parents Daniel Sr. and Mary Kuehn, brothers Jeff (wife Me-Ann) and Steve (wife Ashley),
brothers-in-law Ken Littrell, Rod Littrell (wife Jill), and Chris Littrell (wife Pam), nephews Victor,
Kade, and Ramsey Kuehn, Stetson Kuehn, Colby Littrell (wife Chelsey), Jake Littrell (wife
Megan), Cordel Littrell (wife Nichole), and Gideon Littrell, nieces Carlie Littrell, Elsie Littrell
(fiancé Gus Sadler), and Crimson Kuehn, and great nieces and nephews Natalie, Addison, Ava,
Kastin, and Pauly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and mother-in-law Carrol and Gail
Littrell, sister-in-law Mitzi Littrell, and his best friend Tom Bebb.
There will be a funeral service at Bates and Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC Friday November 15,2024 at the Bates-Love chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Rod Littrell and Chris Littrell officiating. Visitation will begin Thursday November 14, 2024, from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm and again on Friday November 15,2024 from 9:00 am till 11:00 am service time all at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC chapel in Waynesboro.
