Daniel Lambert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg on Mar. 16, 2025.
Daniel Allen Lambert, 38, of Linville, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at his home.
He was born on May 9, 1986, in Charlottesville, VA, and was the son of Ricky and Pamela Steele Lambert.
Daniel had a knack for making a bad day better. His joy was infectious and would make any room feel full. Everyone he met felt blessed by his warm hugs. Daniel made a difference in the lives of those he encountered. He gave the world the gift of his constant smiles and laughter. Visiting Lowes and Tractor Supply were two of the things he loved doing. He graduated from Spotswood High School in 2008. Daniel was the special omen of the girl's basketball team, and the players would rub his head for good luck. Among his favorite things were NASCAR, particularly Dale Earnhardt, the Redskins, PBR bull riding, and J.B. Mooney.
He loved his brother, Josh, and thought the world of him. Every day, Daniel looked forward to the arrival of the school bus carrying his nieces and nephew home. His excitement grew when he saw the UPS truck and his favorite driver, Lance Gray, pull up.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Ricky and Pamela Lambert; one brother, Josh Lambert, and his wife, Alicia "Wishy Washy"; one nephew, Colton Lambert; two nieces, Piper Lambert and Laina "Booboo" Lambert; and an honorary brother, Adam Riggleman.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Darlene "Nanny" Steele, William Steele, Kathleen Lambert, and Wayne Lambert. Daniel is reunited with Sally and Brandy, his loyal and loving dogs, where they will guard and watch over him throughout eternity.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Kyger Funeral Home of Harrisonburg, with Pastor Marlene Chandler and lay minister, Leon Miller officiating. Attendees are asked to wear casual clothes in Daniel's favorite colors of purple and green.
Donations may be made to the Harrisonburg/Rockingham SPCA in his honor. https://rhspca.org/donate/
