Dan Margitan, 67, of Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1958 in Rheinlander, WI to Genevieve ( Gehrke) Margitan and the late James G Margitan.


He met the love of his life Gerri McCoy on October 26, 1999. They enjoyed many great years together. He loved his pets especially his cat Ruby Tuesday. He enjoyed his time with family, friends, and watching the Green Bay Packers. He was a wonderful, fun loving, and caring man who was always ready with a helping hand. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, hunting and fishing. Special memories spending time up north with family growing up.


He is survived by his mother Genevieve. Fiancé Gerri, step son Ryan McCoy. Beloved papa to 3 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters. He is the brother to Jim ( Heather) Margitan, Marsha( Scott) Stueber, Larry Margitan. nieces and nephews JJ (Cassandra), Aimee (Nick). Dana (Matt). Andrew (Francesca), Kristine (Hunter). Dalton, Makayla. Multiple great nieces and nephews.


He is Proceeded in death by his father Jim Margitan.


Gerri would like to send out a special thank you to her sister poopsie and the McCoy family and friends for all their support.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
