RUTLAND – Daniel “Danny” McDonald, Jr., 52, of Rutland, OH, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at his residence.
Born on November 12, 1973, in Athens, OH, he was the son of the late Daniel and Judith (Cremeans) McDonald, Sr.
Danny is survived by his wife, Sara Rose McDonald; three stepsons, Donald (Ashley) Neal III, Travis Neal and Trevor Neal; five step grandchildren, Halanea, Donald IV, Aubrey, Cayson, and Tiberius “Ti”; two sisters, Melinda Morris and Angela (Kevin) Pullins; three nieces, Tiffany Mahoney, Chelsea Pullins and Emily Pullins; one great niece, Paislee Mahoney; and one great nephew, Kashton Nichols.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Aaron Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy, OH, with Norm Matson officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Rutland Cemetery.
