Daniel L. McFarland, 63, of Evansville, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at his home. He was born January 13, 1963 in Huntingburg, IN to Mary (Payne) McFarland and the late Larry McFarland.

Daniel was an army veteran and served in the US National Guard for over 23 years. He enjoyed martial arts and watching Bruce Lee movies. Daniel loved all animals and was especially devoted to his cat, Gus. He also enjoyed listening to old school Rock N Roll music.

He is survived by his children, Darrell Kirk (partner, Larissa, and mother of his children, Jaymie Brame), Sarah Kirk (Shelby Tompkins), Jonnie McFarland, Rachel (Adam) White, Rose Snitzer, Teresa Weis and Christina (Michael) DeMoss; grandchildren, Julia and Wyatt Kirk, Nova, Addy and Kash Postin, Cattalaya Tompkins, Teagan McInnes, Jaylyn, Juliette and Jensen White, Michael DeMoss, Jr. and 5 step-grandchildren; mother, Mary McFarland; brother, Jimmy (Cari) McFarland; nieces, Amanda (Chas) Demster and Olivia (Dan) Dixon; nephew, Matthew (Lisa) McFarland; and best friend, Huey (Tammy) Simmons.

In addition to his father, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy (Niemeier) McFarland; grandchild, Ezekiel "Buddah"; and brothers, Brian, Phil, Mike and Ronnie McFarland.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., Evansville. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Ted Tempel officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 610 E. Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47713.

The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Heart to Heart Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Daniel.
