Danny "Boone" Edward Metts, 72, of Hanna, IN, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Avalon Springs Health Campus.
He was born on January 1, 1953, in La Porte, IN, to Mervin "Buster" and Mary "Mardell" (Coil) Metts.
Danny is survived by his 3 sisters, Regina Wilson of Kingsford Heights, Virginia (Jeff) Childs of Columbia City, and Delores (Ron) Everly of Michigan City; 3 nieces, Amanda Everly of Hanna, Allison Everly of Michigan City, and Ashton (Connor) King of Cumming, GA; 4 nephews, Andrew (Karen) Metts of Mill Creek, Eric Childs of Columbia City, Matt (Jessica) Childs of Fort Wayne, and Phil Childs of Columbia City; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Harold Wilson.
Danny worked in construction and enjoyed fishing. He treasured socializing with friends and family.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with a Graveside Service to follow at Hanna Cemetery.
