Daniel Raulerson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by St. John's Family Funeral Home & Crematory on May 11, 2024.
Daniel William "Dan" Raulerson, age 45, of St. Augustine passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024 at the Bailey Family Center for Caring with his family by his side. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Dan's journey began in St. Augustine, Florida, where he was born and raised. He was a proud graduate of St. Augustine High School with the class of 1998. Dan's passion for baseball ignited during his time there, playing pitcher for the Yellow Jacket Baseball Team. Post-graduation, Dan pursued a career as an HVAC technician, working for Taylor Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Arnett Heating and Air Conditioning. In 2020, Dan ventured into entrepreneurship, founding Custom Floor Designs, specializing in flooring and bathroom remodeling, where his creativity and skill flourished. His greatest joy and accomplishment in life was being a father to his son, Noah. Dan got to share his love for the sport of baseball with Noah and helped coach many of Noah's teams. He coached for St. Augustine Little League and local travel ball teams where he was known as "Coach Dan". Dan's vibrant personality lit up every room he entered. He was the life of the party. He truly had a heart of gold and would do anything for a friend or stranger in need. An avid hunter, Dan found solace and joy in the great outdoors, but above all, his greatest joy was his beloved son, Noah, whom he cherished beyond measure. Dan's laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished.
Dan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Hazel Louise Herring, paternal grandfather, Billy Raulerson, his father, Bryant Raulerson, and stepbrother, David Mathis and his wife Mary Kathryn. He is survived by his former wife and dear friend, Paige Raulerson, his son, Noah Raulerson, his loving mother, Theresa Mathis and her husband Bob of St. Augustine; his devoted sister, Rhieanna DeGrande and her husband Ryan of St. Augustine, stepbrother, Robert Mathis Jr. of St. Augustine, and his beloved nieces, Rylan & Hazel, and nephew, Kason, along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends.
A celebration of Dan's life will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Anastasia Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Crum officiating. A visitation of family and friends, beginning at 10 am will precede the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan's memory can be made to Anastasia Baptist Church Building Fund, Saint Augustine Little League or Community Hospice of NE Florida Bailey Center.
