Daniel Scherer Obituary

He was born July 18, 1947, in Lafayette to the late Theodore C. and Anne Elizabeth (Becker) Scherer. He was a graduate of Ambia High School and a US Army Veteran. Daniel worked as a Chemical Tester at Eli Lilly until his retirement.
Daniel loved anything to do with cars. He enjoyed building model cars and was a member of the Lafayette Model Car Club and the Corvair Society of America in Lafayette.
Daniel is survived by his sister Carol and her husband Barry Allen and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his 7 siblings, Mary Joanne (Ken) Robb, Jerry (Nancy) Scherer, Rita Ann Haynes, Richard Scherer, Marjorie Rose Winstead, Bernard Eugene Scherer, and George Patrick (Deb) Scherer.
Memorial Contributions in Daniel's name may be given to the Humane Society for Greater Lafayette, 3150 Sagamore Pkwy South, Lafayette, IN 47909.
A private family graveside will be held.
