Daniel "Danny" Carl Shaffer, 72, of Hartshorne, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow at McDougal Cemetery near Canadian, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Greg Amos, Jordan Dunham, Kane Shaffer, Colby Aldridge, Jake McNatt, and Bryan Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Pingleton, Ricky Shaffer, and Keith Sutmiller.

Danny was born on December 1, 1952 in Casa Grande, Arizona to Orville "Kook" Shaffer and Imogene (Hicks) Lefler.

Danny worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Pittsburg County Commissioner District 1. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters: Charity Kennedy (Julianne Rogers), Crystal Shaffer, and Lauren Shaffer Adams (Keith Battles); his sons: Ethan Shaffer, and Eric Meyers; grandchildren: Jaspaul, Mya, Anylah, Siree, Dalton, Hannah, Dalli, and Sterlin; siblings: Jerry Shaffer and wife, Patricia, Cheryle Aldridge, Joanne Weiher, Stephen Lefler, and Lisa Lefler; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Danny is preceded in death by his father, Orville "Kook" Shaffer, his mother, Imogene (Hicks) Lefler; and brother, Terry Shaffer.
