The Obituary of Daniel L Smith
We are very saddened to have to announce the passing of a fabulous individual, Daniel L Smith. He passed peacefully on Sept.-3rd in the morning surrounded by his Wife, his children, and friends!
He was the oldest son of Charlotte and Carl Smith. Born on Sept.-11th, 1952 in Dayton Ohio. Raised with brothers Douglas and Dennis. He had moved to Florida in 1972 and went right into the tile business, knowing nothing, yet managed to successfully establish his own business of Smith Brothers, LLC.
Danny had a large passion for his sports! Adamant fan of the Cincinnati Reds, the Bengals, golf, and it ran right down the line. All in all, his favorite pass time was to spend time with his wife, their kids and Grandbabies! He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Trish and their 3 children Roy, Ryan and Charlotte. As he was also blessed with a Daughter in Law, Haley and Son in Law, Brent. The blessings continued to 4 beautiful Grandbabies of Brianna, Reya Jean, Beckham Wyatt and now Blair Ellie! Also gifted with a Great Grand child of Stetson Lee!
He had a courageous fight, with his Stage 3, left lung, in which he did win that battle, with the grace of Moffitt's services and efforts! Although in the end he did loss the fight to extended illnesses.
He was Loved by all who knew him and "To know him was to Love him"!! Throughout the years he was known as Danny Dawg, Smitty, The Mayor and the list goes on.
• >> Services are as follows: The gathering of Prayer and of Eulogy @ Fuller's Funeral Home on Pine Ridge on Sept.-21st. Sat.- from 2-4pm.
• >> Celebration of life is to follow at Boston Beer Gardens, known as BBG's.
We'll have all of the Outdoor facility from 5:00 pm till 7-ish.
