Daniel Tranovich, 85, of Reading, passed away on July 14, 2025. Born in Reading, he was the son of Paul and Grace (Adams) Tranovich. Dan was the loving husband of Patricia C. (Moyer) with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Dan was a 1958 graduate of Reading High School. He spent 15 years working for Firestone Rubber and devoted the rest of his professional life to becoming a self-employed electrician.
With faith of high importance, Dan was a devout member of Renewed Spirit Church, Reading.
Basketball was a significant part of Dan's life, from playing to officiating. He spent 8 years coaching at St. Catherine's and 4 years at Daniel Boone. Additionally, Dan served as a referee for 20 years. He enjoyed keeping fit by walking and swimming. Above all, Dan was a proud grandfather who loved his family dearly.
In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by his sons: Jeffrey (Chris), Craig (Laura), and Kyle (Dana). He will be missed by his grandchildren: Jeffrey Jr., Justin, Gabby, Jared, Jessica, Ian, Ryan, Payton, Jordyn, Zylis, and Remi as well as his great-grandchildren: Jayden, Ryleigh, Carson, and Jana.
Dan was predeceased by his daughter, Christine Tranovich.
A graveside service will held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 10:30AM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
