In Loving Memory of Daniel Jaime Villarreal (1958–2025)

Daniel J. Villarreal, beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, while residing at the Hampden Hills Acute Care Center in Aurora, Colorado. Born on May 22, 1958, in Harlingen, Texas, in Cameron County, Daniel was the cherished son of Daniel G. Villarreal and Eva Garza Villarreal.

Daniel was so proud of the time he spent working for Rodriguez Engineering Laboratories where he worked out in the field and in the laboratory performing tests and inspections.

Daniel's journey took him from Austin, Texas to the serene surroundings of Colorado, where he spent his final days.

Throughout his life, Daniel carried with him a quiet strength, a generous heart, and a deep devotion to those he loved. He leaves behind his son, Daniel Gerlock, and his daughter, Jennifer Garcia, who will forever hold his memory close. Daniel is also survived by his brother, Victor Villarreal, and his sisters, Debora A. Harris and Nelda Villarreal, and Kathy Kotara and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, each of whom shared laughter, stories, and bonds that only family can know. Special mention to the care givers at Hampden Hills Acute Care Center. Thank you for taking care of our Daniel.

Though his passing brings sorrow, his life remains a testament to resilience, love, and the enduring ties of family.

A private memorial will be held by the family to honor Daniel's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who knew him to share a memory, a story, or a moment that reflects the kindness and spirit he brought into the world.

May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love he gave so freely.
