Daniel Vowels Obituary
Daniel graduated from Rex Mundi High School, served in the United States Marines and then received his degree in Political Science at Indiana State University at Evansville. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a Quality Manager. Daniel was an avid sports fan, especially of Indiana University basketball and the Chicago Cubs. He was also a huge fan of music.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Kathy (Shirk) Vowels; daughter, Chelsea (Damon) Brown; son, Joseph (Ashley) Vowels; grandchildren, Max Brown, Emma (Austin) Nolan, Henry Brown and Oliver Vowels; sisters, Donna Leader, Diane (Robert) Dodge, Denise Vowels and Deborah Bowman; brothers, Dennis Vowels and Donald (Kalah) Vowels; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his brother, David Vowels.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Evansville, 560 E. Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Daniel, especially Rhonda, Cynthia, Tracy, Clint and Darcy.
