Daniel Harold Wenger

Daniel Harold Wenger (age 27) was called home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, freeing him from the burdens of this world of sin and misery. He was born in Flowood, Mississippi on January 5, 1999, and was found gone to us in a forest near Corn Lake Landing, Carabelle, Florida on January 9, 2026. He is deeply missed and dearly loved by his parents Ted and Melyna Wenger, siblings Joshua, Abigail (his twin), Caleb, Sarah, Ben and William, grandparents Myron and Connie Hoover, and many aunts and uncles and cousins. He received Christian baptism at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS and professed his faith in Christ at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Siloam Springs, AR. Daniel lived most of this life in Northwest Arkansas where he excelled in school and sports. He loved beach volleyball and played with friends old and new in tournaments around the country. As one member of the Ozark Volleyball Club said "Daniel Wenger was a force. He loomed large in life and somehow even larger on the court. We always say that volleyball is a small world, but he took up so much space in it." Daniel shared his energy and passion with his friends and family, often becoming the undeniable life of the party. We remember the volleyball sessions, family games, and special meals he organized, and how people gravitated towards his confident, intelligent presence. It was easy to share yourself with Daniel, and many did. We are profoundly thankful for the time we had with him. Our hope is in God's steadfast covenant love, mercy, and faithfulness in Jesus (cf. Psalm 107). A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Siloam Springs, AR on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00am, followed by a graveside committal at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
