Daniel Wert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Serenity Funeral Care on Sep. 11, 2024.
John Daniel "Danny" Wert, 64, of Erlanger, KY, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024. Born in Covington, KY on June 3, 1960, Danny was the beloved son of Betty Lou Wert and the late Alvin Wert.
A proud graduate of Lloyd High School, Danny furthered his education at Northern Kentucky University, earning a bachelor's degree in business. He spent his early years in Erlanger before exploring life in Colorado and Indianapolis, IN. Ultimately, he returned to his roots, finding comfort and joy living in his childhood home in Erlanger.
Danny's life was profoundly shaped by his love for music. A true aficionado of the 60s, 70s, and bluegrass genres, he mastered multiple instruments, with the mandolin holding a special place in his heart. His musical talent and passion were matched only by his vibrant personality. Danny was a people person who made friends effortlessly, cherished conversations, and was known for his loquacious nature.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Betty Lou Wert; his brothers, Dave (Teresa) Wert, Doug (Tina) Wert, Daren (Annette) Wert, and Dennis (Lara) Wert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of close personal friends and family who will remember him fondly.
Danny's warmth, musical talent, and the ease with which he connected with others will be deeply missed. His memory will live on through the melodies he loved and the lives he touched.
A Graveside Service will be held for Danny on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 3pm at Highland Cemetery, 2167 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017. Those attending services are asked to gather at the Cemetery's North Gate (entrance closest to Interstate 75), between 2:45 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested in Danny's name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at MichaelJFox.org
