Daniel M. Wimberly

Daniel M. Wimberly 74, of Umatilla, Fl, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025; surrounded by his loving family. Born October 13, 1950 in Leesburg, Fl. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Margaret, and his brothers "Buddy" and Wayne. Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. Following his service, he dedicated his life to protecting and serving his community and family through a career in law enforcement with the city of Umatilla, and the Lake County Sheriffs department. He is survived by his loving wife, Paula; his son, Eric; his daughter, Karen; and seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Cody, Max, Colt, Logan, Aryona, and Erika. Along with numerous extended family members who will cherish his memory. Daniel will be remembered for his service, dedication, and love for his family and community. A visitation will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, Umatilla, on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In Lou of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
