Ms. Danielle Aliesha Baker-Lopez Allen, affectionately known by her friends as "Deey Queen," passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, Florida. Danielle passed away due to complications with her breathing. Her heart failed, and she gained her wings to be with her Heavenly Father.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 N. Lowe Street, Tampa, FL 33605, with Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Senior Pastor of Allen Temple AME Church, Officiant/Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Ms. Danielle Aliesha Baker-Lopez Allen was born on November 13, 1980, in Sarasota, Florida. Her name at birth was Petulla, but was changed to Danielle at the age of three when she was adopted and moved to Tampa, where she spent much of her life. Danielle was raised in Allen Temple AME Church, where she actively participated in the Youth Choir and was a proud member of the Young People's Division (YPD). She attended Villa Madona Catholic School and later Hillsborough County Public Schools, graduating from Howard W. Blake High School in 1999. Danielle continued her education at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. She was employed in customer service with Chase and later Humana, but her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly. Danielle created and sold original bracelets and necklaces, Paparazzi Jewelry, and mink eyelashes. She also shared her voice and passion through Facebook Live podcasts, offering inspiration to other single mothers and providing tutorials on eyelash applications. Her vibrant personality and candid reflections often came through on TikTok videos, where she shared joyful moments with her children and commentary on everyday life. Despite the challenges she faced as a single parent, Danielle remained hopeful and faith-filled. She often said she was "taking it one day at a time" and trusted that God would take care of everything.
Danielle will be remembered most for the deep love she had for her children, Ny'Aja and Nyheem. Her love and light will continue to shine through them.
She was preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents, Clifford and Betty Baker; and her paternal grandmother, Martha Sastre.
Danielle leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved children, Ny'Aja Louise Hobley and Nyheem Clifford Baker; devoted mother, Dr. Bertha L. Baker (Byron); father, Vicente Lopez, Jr. (Ann); brother, Jose Lopez (Shayna); aunt, Yvonne Vaas; uncle, Rev. Dr. Melvin Kennerly; great aunt, Mrs. Annie Belle Jones and Mrs. America Howard; God-sisters, Apolonia Villanueva, Nikki Taylor, Dameatrice Palmore, LaTasha Gullette, Vernita L. Gullette-Fennel, and Tonya James; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 N. Lowe Street, Tampa, FL 33605.
