Danielle Luz McDowell (Crockett) of Sewell, NJ passed away on Thursday, April 20,2023. She was 65.
Legacy
Danielle was born in Subic Bay, Island of Luzon, Republic of the Philippines while her Father was serving in the U.S. Navy. She has lived in Maple Shade, Pitman, Mullica Hill and Sweetwater N.J. Lastly moving to Sewell with her late husband William McDowell.
Danielle attended Maple Shade High School. Graduated Rowan University with a BA in French Studies and Secondary Education. She spent an additional two years furthering her education at the University of Paris-Sorbonne.
She started in the hospitality business as a Waitress and Bartender before achieving her passion of becoming a Chef. She had the unique ability to manage both the front of the house and the kitchen. She excelled at all things foody as well as being a superior team builder. Danielle's work history includes The Spaghetti House Deptford, Pete's Café Runnemede, and then the Barnsboro Inn where she realized her passion as Chef. She met her late husband William McDowell while working at the Inn. She also owned and operated her own catering company. She finished her career as the Director of Retail Dining Services at Chartwells Dining Service at Richard Stockton College.
Family
Cherished daughter of Marilu (Gibbons) William Kirwan Crockett. She is the beloved Wife of the late William "Big Bill" McDowell. Loving Sister of Deirdre Pilar, Desiree Marie, Daphne Christine and Leo Tirado, Kirwan David and Susan Crockett, John Damian and Carole Anne Crockett and the late Paul Dominic. Beloved Aunt of Thomas John Crockett IV and Kirwan David Crockett II.

Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at the McGuiness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell NJ 08080 on Friday May 12 2023. Visitation begins at 10:00 am with Services at 12:00 PM. Burial alongside her husband "Big Bill" at Hillcrest Memorial Park 550 Delsea Drive Sewell NJ 08080 at 1:00 pm.
