Danielle Joy Raines was called home by God to eternal rest on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the age of 40. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. “Dannie Do” or “Sassy”, as she was affectionately known by to her family and friends, was a proud 2002 graduate of O. Perry Walker Senior High School and she attended Herzing University New Orleans. She later earned Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from Crescent City College. Danielle was employed as a Supervisor with UPS New Orleans East location. She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, where she participated with the Youth Ministry Choir, Sunday School, Bible Training Union and Vacation Bible School. Danielle will be remembered as a beacon of light, an inspiration, and a fashionista, who loved to dress and give advice on the latest fashion and travel trends. Devoted mother of Jamir Isaiah Brooks and Kalani Joy Hadley. Beloved daughter of Pamela Joy Mosely Raines Allison and the late Don Michael Raines, Sr. Loving sister of Don Michael Raines, Jr. Granddaughter of Betty Raines Lewis and the late Carey, Sr. and Eunice Mosley. Nieces of Carolyn Morris (her godmother), Cedric (Cheryl) Mosley (her godfather), Carey, Jr., Michael (Gaynell), Arnold (Stassi), and Gregory (Tammy) Mosley, Debbie Butler, Michele Mercado, Debra (Montrell) Carey, Barbara Green, Valerie (Derwin) Wilright, Wendell Lewis and the late William and Keith Mosley, Sr. Great niece of Barbara Washington and Bertha Eveque. Cherished friend of Jada Cotright, whom she loved as a sister. Loving partner of Irvin Hadley, III. Danielle is also survived by her friend Torchee Tillman and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Olive Branch Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of UPS and United Way of Southeast Louisiana are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 1134 Branch Joseph/Odeon Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Reginald Nicholas, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the church. Interment: Westlawn Park Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
