Lowell - Dannel John Gannon, 46, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the longtime companion of Kelly Miskimins, with whom he had been together since 1997.
Born on February 26, 1978, he was the son of Daniel and Celeste (Caruso) Gannon of Erving. A lifelong Pawtucketville resident. He was educated in Lowell, graduated from Lowell Catholic High School. He was a standout athlete, and was the captain of their first football team. Dannel was an NRA Instructor and a passionate Gun Rights and Second Amendment Advocate. He had a deep love for sports, gambling, and poker, and was an avid concertgoer. Last summer, he embarked on what he called the "Summer of Dan," attending numerous concerts across the country, indulging in his love for music. Known for his mischievous sense of humor, he was also a practical joker, which led to his reputation as quite the zip-tie enthusiast. Dannel was self-employed as the owner of LNK Systems, specializing in networking and camera installations throughout the Merrimack Valley.
In addition to his companion, Kelly Miskimins of Lowell, and his parents, Daniel and Celeste Gannon of Erving, he is survived by his beloved children, Lukas Gannon and Keira Gannon, both of Lowell.
He was a devoted big brother to his siblings; Michael Gannon and his wife Lisa of Hollis, NH, formerly of Lowell, Aaron Gannon and his wife Meggan Hillenbrand of Orange, Brian Gannon and his wife Shawnna of Greenfield. He also leaves behind Kelly's siblings: Anita Cielakie and her husband Robert, Ana Agrela and her fiancé William Lepene, Joseph Agrela and Luis Agrela all of Lowell.
Dannel was a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews: Walter, Amelia, Michael Jr., Wes, Cam, Henry, Gabriella, Alexandra, Robert, Sean, Jacob, Haley, Luis Jr., and Cassandra.
He shared his life with many dear friends, including Gary Ferriera, Steve Silva, Nate Renaud, and Dave Piper.
Dannel's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Lowell General Hospital for their compassion and support during this difficult time. They would especially like to thank the teams at ICU 1 and D3 for their exceptional care and friendship.
