Dannie Snider, age 86, of Turnersville, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jon Crosby officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Turnersville Cemetery.
Dannie Faye Snider was born January 13, 1937 to the late Tucker and Irene Kemp Tharp in Turnersville, Texas. She grew up and attended school in Turnersville, graduating high school in 1955. She married J. H. Snider on November 23, 1957, and the two made their home in Turnersville. They had three children and farmed and ranched for many years in Coryell County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robbie Jay Snider; sister Charlene Hill; and niece Sandra Mitchell.
Dannie is survived by her husband of 65 years, J. H. Snider; son, Mark Snider and wife, Barbara; daughter, Cindy Young and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Natasha Dahl and husband, Miles, Chris Mullens and wife, Allison, Erica Mullens and husband, Cody; and great-grandchildren, Bailor Dahl, Brynn Dahl, and Paisley Ellington; and several nieces and nephews.
The Snider family would like to give special thanks to Sunset Hospice and Pastor Jon Crosby, and to all who visited and helped care for Dannie.
In lieu of flowers, Dannie’s family requests that memorials be made to the Turnersville Community Center, P.O. Box 701, Gatesville, TX 76528.
