Yancy Marie Snider, of Ozark, passed away at the age of 54, in Glendale Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born with cerebral palsy and some additional health issues. Yancy was born in Lebanon, Missouri to Kenneth Dale Snider Sr. & Billie Marie (Jones) Snider.
Yancy had a smile that was contagious, and she loved hugs from everyone. Her favorite times were with her family especially her two nieces Kymberli Chamberlain (David) Luce and Emelia Chamberlain, and her nephew James Chamberlain, Jr. when they jumped into her bed to be close to her.
Yancy loved music and it was very therapeutic for her. The songs: “This Old Man” and “Some Girls Do” always made her laugh. She also had a great collection of stuffed animals. She was a light to those lucky enough to be around her. She will be forever missed and loved.
Yancy is survived by her dear mother Billie; her brother Kenneth Dale Snider, Jr. (Trena); her sister Angela (James) Chamberlain, Sr.; her nieces and nephew Kymberli, Emelia, and James Jr.; several special aunts and uncles; and a great-niece and great-nephew. The family wants to especially thank her caregivers at Glendale Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation and St. Croix Hospice for their unwavering kindness.
Yancy is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Dale Sr.; her grandparents; an uncle; and three cousins.
