Danny Michael Black, age 73, of Dallas passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born on December 14, 1950, in Gaston County, the son of the late Bernie Black and Mary Lou Crump. Danny attended Westview Baptist Church and had worked for the Gaston County Schools in the maintenance department. He also owned his own roofing and siding business, Blacks Siding and Trim. Danny truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, coffee with friends at the Waffle House, going to car shows, his dog Zach, and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. Danny will be remembered for his humor, the stories he use to tell, and the love he had for his friends and family. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Amanda Kay Wright Black; son Jeff Black; and brothers Don, Steve, & Tommy Black and Bill & Bob Pruitt.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters Lisa Almond (Frank) and Sherry Huffman (Dale); brother Ronnie Black (Jane); grandchildren Ashley Miller (Stan), Casey Pearson (Jacob), and Ryan Arbogast; a numerous number of nieces and nephews; and his yorkie “Zach.”

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Rudisill officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
