William "Danny" Daniel Bowden, age 60, of Clinton MI, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his home peacefully surrounded by his family. Danny was born on January 25, 1965 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Garland E. and Patricia Ann (Rowbottom) Bowden. On August 25, 1990 he married Teri Lynn Neir and they enjoyed a little over thirty-five years together. Danny was a dedicated truck driver who also owned and operated his truck.
Danny was a member of the Tecumseh American Legion and he also loved working on cars. He also had many other interests. One of his main enjoyments was playing pool and he was even on a travel team. He also was extremely active as a hunter, fisherman, bowler, camper, and a roller skater. On the quieter side, he enjoyed building Legos and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Teri, Danny is survived by his daughter, Christina (Mike Beaudrie) Bowden, and his son, Derick (Lindzy Ziegler) Kaufman; six grandchildren, Joshua, Ben, Gannon, Gabriella, Jason and Walker; his mother, Pat Bowden; and a niece, Samantha.
Danny was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Bowden; his grandson, Jonathan Kaufman; his father, Garland; and his sister, Dawn Bowden.
A funeral service for Danny will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes, with Don Skidmore officiating. Visitation will take place from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes, and also on Monday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Clinton, MI. Memorial contributions in honor of Danny may be made to the family directly or on their Go Fund Me page.
