Danny Marion Bruner

Danny Marion Bruner, age 76, of Alma passed away January 6, 2025 at his residence after an extended illness. He was the son of the late James Lamar Bruner and Mary Kathryn "Kat" Carter Bruner. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Benny Bruner.
Mr. Bruner served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a proud member of the VFW and a true patriot throughout his life. Strong in service and faith in the Lord, Mr. Bruner was also a member of the Church of the Nazarene. His talents and personality enabled Danny to work in various capacities throughout his life. Much of his career was spent working as a dispatcher at Boatright Trucking where he later retired. He adored his grandchildren and spent the majority of his time being their beloved "Papa."
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Medders Bruner; three children, James Daniel Bruner wife Heather, Bridget Delaney husband Rush, and Joey Yawn; six grandchildren, Ben Bruner, Ethan Bruner, Jaison Bruner, Bella Delaney, Noah Delaney, and Lilly Yawn and his brother, Monte Bruner.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Satilla Hospice and Alma First Church of the Nazarene.
A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Alma FirstChurch of the Nazarene with Dr. Doug Carter and Pastor Dan Taylor officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 11:00 AM until service time.
Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
