Danny Ray Cain, 78 of Moore, Oklahoma and former resident of Henryetta and former longtime resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born on February 3, 1946 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Elmer and Isabel (Estes) Cain.
Danny grew up and attended schools in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He graduated from Henryetta High School with the class of 1964 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War receiving an honorable discharge in 1970. Danny worked for several years for General Motors as an assembly technician before his retirement. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and working on old tractors. Danny enjoyed buying old tractors and restoring them as a hobby. One of Danny's favorite things to do was to go for drives enjoying the scenery and he frequently drove to Henryetta to visit his old friends that he grew up with.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Alice Cain and Ann Cain, a daughter Danna Helm and a son, Bryan Cain.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Shandi Russell and husband Kenneth of Moore, Oklahoma; grandson T.J. Helm of Stillwater, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Olivia Russell, Sophia Russell and Braylin Russell.
Viewing for Danny will be on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma with Reverend Ryan Wells officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army Funeral Honors Team from Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
