Mr. Daniel Ray "Danny" Easley of Jonesboro, formerly of Harrisburg, departed this life Wednesday morning, November 6, 2024, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, at the age of 77.
He was born July 30, 1947 in Harrisburg, the son of the late Roy Carmel Easley and Ruthie Mathis Easley.
Danny made his living hard and fast, he was always able to provide more than enough for his family. His family always came first. He enjoyed spending time with his children as well as his brothers and sisters. Danny was the worlds greatest papa. He loved to laugh and joke especially with his kids and grandkids. His love extended to his entire family, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom are too numerous to mention. They know who they are. His devotion to his brothers and sisters was more than most. Visiting with them gave him great joy. Danny was a die hard Cardinals fan but his love of all sports was unrivaled especially baseball and golf. Any chance he got to play golf was spent with friends and family, but mostly family. He was always up for an adventure, especially if it meant driving across our beautiful country. He has been to every state in the continental US. He wanted it known that the best part of his life, that he enjoyed the most, was raising his children, being a husband and father. He was the best !! His joy for life was amazing and will be the thing about him most missed by all. His laughter brightened any room he entered instantly. Danny was generous to all, loving to give, he touched many lives and hearts. He was bigger than life and lived it that way. He was loved by everyone and loved them, treating everyone the same. To his children, friends and family he said." I will see you again one day in Heaven, we will be united with your mom and Jesus, we will have a wonderful time laughing and hugging and talking for eternity. Until then, I love you all, hugs and kisses."
In addition to his parents, Roy and Ruth Easley, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Davis Easley of 45 years, two brothers James Coons, Jerry Easley and one sister Nell Abbot.
He is survived by his son, Shawn D Easley and his wife Alexandra of Harrisburg, his daughter, Tracey R Payne of Jonesboro, four grandchildren, Four great grandchildren, two brothers, Randy Easley of Truman and Ricky Easley of Truman, five sisters Joyce Graves of Harrisburg, Barbara Coats of Harrisburg, Alice Wilson of Truman, Cheryl Dixon of Truman and Norma Harrison of Truman.
